Do Third Parties Destroy Democracy?
September 18, 2016 9:00 am
This series will look at a paradox for voting theory known as Arrow’s Impossibility. First we will examine different voting methods (Including First Past The Post, Condorcet’s Method, The Borda Count and More), then we will examine different desirability criteria which these systems may or may not meet. Finally, we will look at the proof that no system with more than two candidates can meet all criteria, and arguments for and against this conclusion.
